on tea @ 01:31 pm

I have decided that tea, especially herbal tea, is really awesome. I kind of like coffee, but tea is much more interesting and much milder. I like drinking tea the way I like drinking good beer or wine. I like coffee the way I like scotch. And I also suffer internally for coffee in much the same way I do for scotch. My love for scotch is great, so I will keep drinking it. But I think I will move to only drinking tea. It's just superior. And why you would ever add sugar or milk to it I will never understand.

i'm partial to the peaty smokey scotches. Like you're drinking a campfire! I really like Laphroaig, but I wont turn down Oban 14 or Glenlivet 18.. :)
Ive wanted to try a 24-30 year scotch. Ones so thick that when you add water it just floats on the top.

If you like those, try the others on my list. Especially the Lagavulin and the Caol Ila.

I wasn't much a tea drinker myself, but then I tried Mighty Leaf tea (which is all herbal tea), and it's AWESOME. I'm a total tea fan now... I know you can find them at Whole Foods, or they have a web site as well: http://www.mightyleaf.com/

Very good flavors- check it out! :)

I don't actually make tea at home, generally. Though I should probably change that...

oooooh... I have FALLEN IN LOVE with Hojicha Green Tea. Whatever the proper name for it is, it's so wonderfully roasted and full of flavor. No sugar/honey/blah needed.

Tea

That's so weird, I had the exact same epiphany last week!

Hawk, there's nothing like a splash of milk in English breakfast tea (no sugar though). Herbal teas are great too (definately no milk or sugar there!)

Taylors of Harrogate Scottish breakfast with milk and sugar. So yummy. Or Samovar's Russian blend also with M & S.

Funny, just talked to someone at work abt making the same switch from coffee to tea. She said her energy level was more constant and her impulse control was better. Here's hoping for ya :)

I love me some good tea. What can I say? It's the Asian in me. Especially the different greens mainly Hojicha and Genmaicha which had roasted rice bits in it. And yes, I'm still alive and kicking...:)

Keep in mind that like half of the "responses" are in fact me. =) And anyway, when I post on criminalizing abortion I get like three responses, too. People apparently get fired up about tea. It's a fucked up world, Ty.

And while I have, in the interest of full disclosure, tried only one of the excercises you mention, I find it very challenging to imagine that smoking through a filter (or otherwise) is as pleasant an experience. I mean seriously, if you're going to bitch about getting a little fuzz in your teeth to suck tit, you've got some serious problems to face down ::ahem:: the line.

Believe me, the sweater was the normal part of the situation. C.f. "Sexual Perversity in Chicago"...

Sugared milk? I drink what's in the bowl after I finish the Lucky Charms.

...Not that bowl, you sick fuck.
