My sweet god, but that's sad.

Okay...having established that the readers of lj_maintenance are utterly incapable of comprehending humor, I'm going to go cry myself to sleep. Holy shit.

Anyway, the past couple of days have been pretty nice. I played Cosmic last night again. God damn I love that game. I can't comprehend why both companies that have made a point of producing it have gone under. Baffling. Other than that, I've been working on visual soar and the simplebot. Looks like the move to the new game lab is immenent. Excellent. Probably right after the conference this weekend. (Which for me means essentially when I get back from Portland, but I'm all down with that.) The fuckers at Titus have delayed WWP. AGAIN! This time it only got pushed back until the 21st of May, which is right when I get back anyway, so it won't impact me much. All the same, I've got this terrible feeling I'm an unwitting participant in an experiment to demonstrate Zeno's Paradox. And as near as I can tell the delay is basically just so that they can produce some nice Flash web pages or something. Like I even fucking care. I wan't the goddamn GAME. It's been out in the UK for roughly a month already, and it's sitting on warehouse shelves just waiting to ship in the US. Goddamn marketing bullshit. I'm really losing my sense of humor about the whole affair.

I think I've figured out how to add an option to VisualSoar so that you can use your own external editor in place of the native Java Editor Pane stuff that's in use at the moment. Just have to figure out whether to cut the red wire or the blue wire, and I'm good to go.

Stopped in to my neighbor's place last night. She was busily packing and such. She's moving out in a couple weeks to go to Texas for the summer. Texas in the winter I'd understand...Houston in July strikes me as an odd decision.

I'm really getting excited about the trip home next week. Wow will that be a welcome change of pace.
